Question: What is the SNAP 4DX test?
Answer: The Snap 4DX is a blood test that checks for Heartworm disease and three tick-borne diseases - Anaplasmosis, Lyme and Ehrlichia in dogs.  Heartworm is a disease that is transmitted by mosquitos.  Lyme disease is a bacterial infection transmitted by the deer tick. Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia are also diseases that are transitted by the tick.  After a negative Snap4DX blood test, you can vaccinate your dog for lyme disease annually.  As pet owners, you always want to apply a topical flea and tick prevention product monthly.
